Needs Assessment

PTI is a total performance improvement solutions provider. Our needs assessment process ensures that our clients' resources are directed to the solutions that will directly improve employee performance.

Prior to recommending a solution to a client performance issue, we conduct a thorough analysis that reveals both training needs and non-training issues that must be addressed to ensure success.

Our analysis may determine that performance can be improved through management consulting, changes to the work environment, changes to the incentive system, changes to procedures, and/or training. We make specific recommendations for addressing these issues.

If part the solution is training in new skills, or refreshing old skills, then we employ the Instructional Systems Design model to develop a training plan.

Job Task Analysis

Human capital is the most important asset that a business possesses. To reach its full potential, it is essential that its workers perform to the best of their ability.

To facilitate this performance PTI conducts job task analysis, an objective study of performers in context. During this process, PTI analyzes data gathered through surveys, interviews, and most importantly, observation, that will yield key information for training design:

Our areas of expertise include:
Identification of a "master performer" - the exemplary employee against whom
other workers can be measured - and the specifics of his performance
Specific details of the tasks of a job

This information allows us to benchmark model performance, and determine how average performers can be trained to become master performers.
